Develon is focusing on growth at the 2026 European dealer conference.
Develon’s second European dealer conference took place in Rome at the end of February 2026 and focused on continued growth. The company usually organises this conference once every two years. The previous edition, which was also the first under the Develon brand name, was held in Valencia in 2024.
A total of 186 people attended the meeting in Rome, including 125 employees from 66 dealers across 24 different countries. Also present were five members of the HD Construction Equipment management team from Korea, as well as staff from various Develon departments across Europe.
Rome provides the perfect backdrop for the European dealer conference.
The two-day conference offered Develon dealers an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from their own region and from across Europe. Develon staff also had the chance to talk to one another and exchange experiences.
Rome, the Eternal City, provided an exceptional setting for the conference. As a global hub where history, culture and progress converge, the city offered an inspiring environment for exchanging ideas and celebrating successes.
This year’s meeting at the Crowne Plaza Rome Hotel opened with a presentation by TK Choi (Executive Vice President of HD Construction Equipment). This presentation provided an overview of global and European business operations. This included information on the newly established HD Construction Equipment, global market outlook, sales targets and strategic business direction. In addition, the expansion of aftermarket and product support activities was discussed by other executives.
Jayden Lim (Head of HD Construction Equipment Europe/CEO of Develon Europe) then spoke about the company’s performance, the launch of new products and the ongoing expansion of business facilities and the dealer network in Europe.
Further expansion for Develon in Europe
Since the last European dealer conference, significant developments have taken place, including the opening of Develon’s new Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in Boom. This represents a key step in the company’s strategy to improve customer service and accelerate growth in the European market.
The new Belgian PDC has a storage area of 24,000 m² and a stock of 47,000 items. It has been designed to bring services closer to customers and enables Develon to respond more quickly to the diverse and changing demand in the European construction machinery market. Develon also opened a new company-owned store in Germany and established Develon Deutschland in Mannheim to establish a new strategic base in the country.
In addition, Develon has opened a new Customisation Centre in Antwerp, which serves as an integrated hub for machine customisation within the EU. This facility has been set up to configure and deliver machines to the European market more quickly and efficiently. It enables machines to be prepared and set up according to specific customer requirements, thereby improving both response times and the overall level of service.
Another Customisation Centre was recently opened in Southampton, which operates in the same way as the Antwerp facility. This marks a new milestone in a busy and successful two-year period.
Alongside the development of the Develon brand in Europe, the company continues to develop innovative technologies that are shaping the future of the construction sector and the way we work. Over the past two years, Develon has strengthened its position with a new product range, including the launch of 24 new models, culminating in the successful introduction of the smart crawler excavators from the 9 Series.
